TasteTrail is a user-friendly website that provides a platform for users to discover, view, and learn cooking recipes and tutorials.

The Problem

Cooking enthusiasts often struggle to find reliable sources for recipes and tutorials. Existing platforms lack user-friendly interfaces and comprehensive content, leading to frustration and wasted time.

The Solution

My goal was to design a website with a centralized platform that offers a wide range of recipes and tutorials, catering to all skill levels and culinary preferences.

Key Insights

Filtering

Users wanted a more robust search and filtering system implemented to help quickly locate recipes based on specific criteria.

Interaction

Users would like somewhere to engage with others like a comment section or blog page to seek clarification, share tips, and learn from others’ experiences.

Mobile Functionality

Several users access the website on mobile devices, so a responsive web design was necessary.

Takeaway

Incorporating user feedback and insights into the design & development phase created a more engaging and effective user experience. Addressing pain points related to content navigation, recipe clarity and mobile usability resulted in an increased user satisfaction and retention rate across platforms.
